Maintenance Supervisor Job Description
Catholic is preferred, but not required.
Purpose of Position: The purpose of this position is
- to be the direct supervisor of all custodial staff
- to organize and complete all repairs of the facility
- to report to and assist the Facility Coordinator in planning maintenance and custodial decisions.
Hours: 40 hours per week, 50 weeks per year plus 2 weeks vacation, as per diocesan policies
Pay: Commensurate with experience
Duties of Maintenance Supervisor
- Prepare weekly custodial and maintenance tasks and confer with the Facility Coordinator
- Inspect and evaluate all maintenance needs, in the building and outside of the building
- Complete all maintenance needs or report them to the Facility Coordinator and assist in getting help (volunteer and professional) for the task
- Reports schedules and facility needs to the Facility Coordinator
- As needed, attend meetings on facility needs
- Assist the Facility Coordinator with health, fire and other safety reports and complete requirements requested from inspections
- Complete or organize assistance with all facility set-ups
- Assist the Facility Coordinator in organizing all services
- Monitor inventory of all tools, equipment and cleaning supplies and maintain necessary stock of materials
- Inspect all building systems (HVAC, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL) on a regular basis
- other duties as specified by Facility Coordinator
- perform all duties for set ups and take downs
Requirements And Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, hvac, plumbing etc.)
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities
- An eye for detail
- Computer savvy helpful but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
- Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred, but not required
