Position Description
The ESOL Coordinator will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities of the Distance Education and Off-Site programs and will manage students and volunteer teachers as assigned. The ESOL Coordinator will also complete all deliverables under grants, including but not limited to devising and analyzing teacher and student surveys, ensuring execution of class projects and teacher meetings, regularly communicating site updates with teachers, tracking student hours and recognizing student progress in online platforms, and more.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Distance Education and Parish Site activities.
- Lead a pre-Basic course low education level students and create materials for tutorial sessions.
- Provide one on one help with students who are illiterate or have limited education on use of technology.
- Conduct regular teacher observations and provide one on one help with online platforms during class sessions.
- Provide one on one support to volunteers with online platforms such as Zoom and Burlington English
- Coordinate Conversation Groups and establish a curriculum.
- Set up online student accounts and conduct student orientation.
Other Duties
- Conduct student registrations. Provide support to walk-ins.
- Provide training to teachers. Supervise and observe classroom instruction and provide feedback.
- Manage teacher resources and website.
- Outreach: Explore new parish sites and reach out to new communities to provide classes.

- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- High computer competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, and data management experience.
- Superior writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills, diligence, and ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, ability to work well in a high-paced environment.
- Flexible to work irregular hours including up to 2 evenings per week and occasional weekends.

Education And Experience
- BA in Education, social sciences, other relevant field of study or 2 years relevant experience
- TESOL or TEFL certification preferred.
- Bilingual (fluent in Spanish/Dari/Farsi/Pashto and English) strongly preferred.
- One or more years of experience working in a multi-cultural setting.
- Experience collaborating with volunteers.
- Valid US driver’s license, safe driving record, history of 3 years of driving in the US and regular access to transportation.
