POSITION PURPOSE: Provides administrative services in support of the parish and its activities for the Administrative and Faith Formation offices.
Essential Position Functions
- Performs secretarial functions for the Pastor, PAA, and other staff as delegated.
- Provides general support and serves as a resource to those needing assistance.
- Answers telephone and greeting visitors and assisting them or referring them as appropriate.
- Serves as liaison and public relations representative between parish and its staff members, parishioners, committee members, vendors and others visiting or calling the parish.
- Maintains office supply inventory and reorders as needed.
- Maintains filing systems for the admin and faith formation offices
- Assist in preparing the Faith Formation Calendar/Schedule
- Assists in communicating Faith Formation schedule and special events
- Prepares letters, forms, sacramental certificates, brochures and other correspondence for the office.
- Prepares and processes regular mail and bulk mailings.
- Makes and collates photocopies
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma with some college preferred
- Bilingual Preferred
- Verifiable experience in a parish setting and group collaboration.
- Leads a life consistent with the Catholic faith and moral teaching.
- Demonstrated vocal proficiency and keyboard ability.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated organization presentation, teamwork, technical and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
