ENTITY: Mt. Olivet Cemetery was consecrated in 1892 and is located on the western side of the Denver Metro area in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It is the largest cemetery in Colorado containing 392 acres. St. Simeon Cemetery was consecrated in 2004 and is located on the eastern side of the Denver Metro area in Aurora, Colorado. The Mortuary was opened in 1981 and now has two physical locations. The first is located on the grounds of Mt. Olivet Cemetery and the second is the historic Caldwell-Kirk location on N. Marion in Denver. These entities serve the Catholic Community of the Denver metro area and its various parishes, missions, and apostolates and other members of the public regardless of their religious affiliation.
THE POSITION: The position will be responsible for the accounts payable and the accounts receivable of the entities. This position will work with vendors and customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Monitor AP inbox,
- Submit invoices daily to begin payment process,
- Review invoices for correct sales tax, GL codes, quantity and price,
- Communication with internal operation teams and vendors regarding AP issues,
- Communication with vendors regarding invoices, balances and payment issues,
- Reconcile customer Aging reports and send statements,
- Create and send collection letters as needed,
- As necessary, make and receive collection calls in a professional manner while maintaining positive customer relations,
- Maintain an up-to-date record of collections communication within the database,
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions,
- Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, customers and internal operations teams for timely communication and issue resolution,
- Contribute to financial reporting activities within the finance function as required,
- Scan and/or file documents as needed,
- Occasional travel to all entity locations,
- Work directly with the Business Manager to perform other administrative duties and special project work, and
- Any other duties as directed by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; and,
- Relevant work experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to operate computer, copier/printer, and multi-line telephone,
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds,
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time,
- Ability to work on a computer and look at a computer screen for extended periods of time, and,
- Must be able to move around enough to pull and replace files in a variety of file cabinet types.
