General Position Summary: Good Shepherd Catholic Community is looking for a committed disciple who is blessed with the gift of administration, meaning they must be organized, detail-oriented, and a strong multitasker. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping with the organization of our liturgical and music department, helping ministry volunteers, and wants to help maintain organizational health in the workplace. While the position is primarily administrative, the ideal person for this role will often be in contact with ministry volunteers who have different levels of experience, so this individual must be able to exercise the gift of hospitality. Additionally, we are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal, communication (both oral and written), and technology skills, since they will be responsible for assisting in the compiling of details for upcoming liturgies and communicating those details with volunteers. We are looking for a detail-oriented self-starter and team player capable of interacting with many different groups.
Principal Accountabilities
Liturgy -
- Assists with purchasing and maintaining inventories of liturgical supplies.
- Assists with the preparation of special liturgical events; including the needed worship aid and setup/breakdown of liturgical spaces.
- Assists with creating/maintaining Liturgical Volunteer plans in Planning Center Online Services program.
- Assist priests with printing monthly Mass schedule and update changes as necessary
- Prepare Readers binder of entrance and communion antiphons for Mass
- Assist with preparing, printing, and distributing liturgical books for weekend Masses and special liturgies
- Coordinate with formation department on the scheduling of baptisms
- Work with Baptism Ministry to prepare all supplies needed for Baptisms
- Keep updated digital file of Mass counts
- Attend and help prepare, as necessary, liturgical ministry lead meetings
Music Ministries -
- Print hymn packets for Adult Choir members for weekend Masses, special liturgies, and funeral Masses
- Print Cantor packet for weekend Masses, special liturgies, funeral Masses, and wedding Masses
- Maintain GSCC choral library, oversee volunteers as needed
- Assist with purchasing music and supplies needed for Music Groups
General responsibilities -
- Attend parish staff gatherings and Music and Liturgy team meetings as scheduled.
- Attend continuing education opportunities related to responsibilities.
- Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.

- Will make decisions on timing of replenishing supplies.
- Will decide on vendors from a recommended vendor list.

Working Conditions And/or Physical Requirements
- This position works in a typical office environment, but is subject to stress due to the evolving and quickly expanding business needs, tight deadlines, and heavy workloads.
- This position’s work schedule is during office hours, Monday through Friday
- Some hours may be required during the evening and/or weekends
Travel Requirements
Education And Experience Preferred
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Computer proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge And Skills Preferred
- Good interpersonal/communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Must enjoy working on highly detail-oriented tasks and completing them by specific deadlines.
- Good listening skills and ability to interact and respond effectively.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously so all projects are completed timely and accurately with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality as well as handle highly confidential information.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing.
