Position Summary
Help with and assist in daily classroom activities for children ages 18 months- Pre K.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists with executing daily lesson plans and activities, in accordance with needs of the children.
- Helps maintain discipline, using positive reinforcement or redirection.
- Assists children in eating, resting and toileting.
- Assists children with hygiene and clean up.
- Assists in the clean up of the classroom, cleans tables, removes trash.
Physical Requirements
- This position works in a typical preschool classroom environment and requires the ability to lift young children and change diapers and/or clothing, if necessary.
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment
Education And Experience
- High School diploma
- Experience caring for young children
Knowledge And Skills
- Must love children
- Successful completion of the Diocesan Safe Environment class
- Punctual
- CPR and First Aid Certified (preferred)
- Good communication skills
