The Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas includes 91 Parishes, and 19 schools. It stretches from Quanah, Texas just northwest of Wichita Falls in the West and extends to Penelope, Texas in the Southeast. Its largest metropolitan areas are Fort Worth, Arlington, Denton, and Wichita Falls. The principal duty of all employees is to assist in the mission of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas.
General Position Summary: Ensure the safety, security and supervision of children at all times during specific liturgies and parish events in a loving environment.
Principal Accountabilities
- Supervise children at all times, according to Diocesan/Parish Policy and procedure to ensure their safety and security.
- Know, understand, and implement the Nursery structure, rules and procedures
- Facilitate group activities and dialogue and interact with children.
- Communicate with parents in a polite and professional manner ensuring appropriate check-in/check-out procedures.
- Incorporate all emergency, health and sanitation procedures.
- Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.
Travel Requirements
Education And Experience Preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Entry level position, no prior work experience required.
Knowledge And Skills Preferred
- Knowledge of Safe Environment practices as outlined in the Diocesan Code of Conduct as it relates to childcare.
- Compassionate care for small children and a desire to ensure their well-being and safety.
Working Conditions And/or Physical Requirements
- Indoor environment working in the Nursery Room and occasionally in the Gym.
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
- Hearing, listening, standing, talking, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crouching, pulling, pushing
