General Position Summary: The Office Associate is responsible for preparing the weekly bulletin and maintaining online, social media and data entry. Helping in the reception area while serving at the reception desk. As well as other duties as needed to ensure efficiency in parish administration. Providing support on the Jamaica Fiestas.
Principal Accountabilities
- Preparation and submission of weekly bulletin, updating of parish website and social media.
- Assist receptionist in the following: answer telephone, screen call and take messages.
oWelcome and assist visitors to the parish office with parish registrations, baptism registrations, and by providing information regarding parish event, organization, schedules and directing them to appropriate staff.
- Receive payments and follow proper receipt procedures
- Helping at Jamaica Fiestas
oLooking for sponsors, preparing the raffle tickets to be mail out, any other duties that might be required.
- Relieve receptionist at front desk when sick or on vacation.
- Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.

Education And Experience Preferred
- High School graduate or equivalent
Knowledge And Skills Preferred
- Understanding the vision and mission of Our Lady Guadalupe’s Catholic Community under the guidance and direction of the Pastor
- Bilingual required (Spanish)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality
- Typing and word processing experience
- Familiarity and experience with computers (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organize work effectively
Working Conditions And/or Physical Requirements
This position works in a typical office environment but is subject to stress due to the evolving and quickly expanding business needs, tight deadlines and heavy workloads.
