Elementary Teacher
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy-Chesterton Network School, a classical pre-K-12 school in the Catholic tradition, seeks a talented and dynamic full-time elementary teacher to join our team starting in the 2024-25 academic year.
A bachelor's or master's degree is required. Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred, as well as experience in and passion for Catholic classical education.
The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and be willing to make an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and a Profession of Faith. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy-CNS participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and to help students grow in holiness. Faculty members are required to attend Mass with the entire student body, and they assist in leading spiritual retreats and school activities. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy is a classical pre-K-12 school and Chesterton Network High School in the Catholic tradition. Founded in 2000 as a result of a grass-roots movement of parents, the academy's high school became a member of the Chesterton Schools Network in 2020.
