Marin Catholic currently has an opening for a Science Teacher in the 2025-26 school year.
Position will begin August 2025
The Science program at Marin Catholic, strives to engage students to become deep and critical thinkers. Through exploration of the physical world (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy and Physiology, Marine Science), students are learning how they are affected by and how they can affect the world that they are part of, and the true beauty of nature. The science curriculum strives to challenge students to become excellent problem solvers and truth seekers.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate deep familiarity with science skills and teaching practices. This person exemplifies a love for the students and a desire to see all students succeed at the highest level. This individual will also need to see collaboration, on both a student and faculty level, as a key to student success.
Qualifications, credentials, experience, knowledge & skills for the position:
-Degree in the physical or life sciences or related field
-Catholic high school teaching experience, preferred
-Practicing Catholic in good standing, preferred
-Desire to share his/her faith journey
-Student focused and lifelong learner
-Teaching credential, preferred
-Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, student and staff
-Maintains best professional practices in communicating with peers, students and parents
Salary ($71,715-$112,657) and benefits are according to a Union contract.
Full-time Faculty are eligible for benefits including health and dental insurance, medical and dependent care flex plan, Archdiocesan pension, and 403b.
