Description
The choir at St. Peter's is a volunteer ensemble of parishioners. They meet regularly and sing a vast repertoire and treasury of sacred choral music literature. Their primary role is to lead the congregation's sung prayer and share the Church's rich heritage of chants, Polyphonic music, and motets to illuminate the sacred liturgy to inspire those who come to worship.
Duties:
Use musical abilities to collaborate with and assist the ensemble through a chamber music structure.
Access all music and rehearsal materials.
rehearse and prepare all music assigned.
Attend and perform at all events.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in vocal performance or equivalent.
High level sight reading skills.
Vocal timbre suited to blending choral tone.
Intermediate skill level accessing music and practice material on an online platform.
Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
