The Admissions Associate works directly with students and parents in the application process, as well as with the wider community for publicity, and finally in behind-the-scenes data organization and management. This person builds relationships with potential applicants, guiding them through the admissions process, as well as planning public events.. The Associate reports to the Director of Enrollment Management. This is a key position on the admissions team at Martin Saints Classical High School.
This is a part-time or full-time position, depending on the candidates availability; work hours are approximately 7:30am to 3:30pm. Candidates should be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends when there are admissions and recruiting events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact person for phone and email inquiries, record initial inquiry information; shepherd prospective students and their families through the admissions process.
- Manage email blasts and other publicity communications.
- Assist with event planning and preparation, and represent Martin Saints at events such as open houses, visitation days, admitted student events, high school fairs, grade school visits, community events, Catholic events, etc. Some of these events may occur on evenings and weekends.
- Manage and track event registrations through the MSC website.
- Train and manage our student ambassadors to support the adult admissions team.
- Arrange "shadow day" visits for prospective students in conjunction with student ambassadors.
- Plan and give tours to prospective parents and families.
- Build and utilize a network of parent volunteers to assist with admissions events and a parent ambassador program.
- Provide administrative and other types of support to the Director of Enrollment Management as discussed and assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in admissions preferred
- Excellent customer service to internal and external constituencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive experience with database systems and software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, TADS, TADS SSS, Canva, and Avery Design & Print.
- Proven to be an organized, detail-oriented, multi-task oriented professional who works well within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and resolve problems quickly and independently.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Possess the disposition to assist others and works well with a team environment.
- Posses a positive attitude and approach in working with others and addressing challenges.
- Willingness to continuously learn and be an ambassador for Martin Saints Classical High School.
- Ability to work some evenings as well as some weekend hours.
- A practicing member of the Catholic Church who upholds all of the magisterial teachings of the faith in both their professional and personal life.
