Position Overview
St. John's Prep is seeking a dynamic and passionate STEM educator to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate will help students explore science and engineering as tools for understanding and shaping the world-encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world application.
Key Responsibilities
•Teach high school science courses with an emphasis on physics and engineering
•Integrate STEM concepts across disciplines through real-world applications and collaborative projects
•Foster a student-centered classroom that encourages inquiry, discussion, and experimentation
•Collaborate with faculty across departments to support interdisciplinary learning
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (master's degree preferred)
•Teaching credential (preferred but not required)
•Experience teaching science or STEM subjects at the secondary level
•Strong content knowledge in physics, engineering, or a related field
•Passion for experiential, interdisciplinary, and project-based learning
•Interest in mentoring and leading robotics or other STEM-related extracurriculars
