Job Summary:
Reports to the Campus Minister
Full-time, Exempt
Responsibilities:
- Freshman experience, including Freshman Retreat, outreach, and ongoing
- Formation.
– 210 Freshman registered in 2024 with Catholic Tigers.
– New Small Group initiative which will integrate faith formation and community building
– Service, which is to include the planning and execution of a Service Immersion trip
– Assisting in fundraising through iGive and creation of monthly newsletter for parents and alumni
– Large social events including two dances and three tailgates
Education Requirements/Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology or equivalent field experience required
- Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing
- Sound knowledge and practice of evangelization, catechesis, doctrine, liturgy & sacraments, moral life, and prayer in keeping with the Catechism of the Catholic Church
- Proven ability to relate to young adults
- Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skillss
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: This position requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, using hands, using feet, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, reaching above shoulders, and tasting/smelling at least 1/3 of the time. This position requires that you will lift up to 10 pounds at least 1/3 of the time.
