The Organization:
Located in Bloomfield Hills, Marian is a Catholic college preparatory school for young women sponsored by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The mission of Marian High School is to ensure, within a Christian environment, an excellent education built on a strong academic curriculum, which will enable young women to value human diversity and live responsible lives of leadership and action based on gospel values.
Marian High School is seeking a collaborative, mission-driven educator to serve as the
part-time Dean of Curriculum and Instruction. This new role supports instructional development, faculty growth, and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee curriculum coherence and pacing across departments
Design and lead academic professional development
Observe and support teachers with coaching and feedback
Manage academic probation and support student learning needs
Lead new teacher orientation (with administrative support)
Coordinate standardized and AP testing and semester exams
Support academic honor society events and Honors Convocations
Collaborate with the Principal on improvement plans and school-wide initiatives
Serve as academic liaison to feeder schools for placement and shared data
Help lead special projects
Maintain a strong, visible presence with students and staff
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal or President
Qualifications:
5+ years high school teaching experience
Experience in curriculum leadership or faculty development
Current Michigan teaching certification (administrative certification or Master's degree in a relevant field preferred)
Strong organizational, coaching, and communication skills
A positive, approachable leadership style aligned with Marian’s Catholic mission
