Position Overview:
St. Benedict is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Business Teacher who is passionate about educating high school students and preparing them for success in college and the professional world. The ideal candidate will bring both expertise in business education and a commitment to Catholic values, fostering a classroom environment that encourages ethical leadership, critical thinking, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a variety of business-related courses such as Introduction to Business, Accounting, Marketing, Personal Finance, and Entrepreneurship.
- Develop and implement engaging, real-world lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and prepare students for post-secondary success.
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into the classroom experience.
- Utilize technology and project-based learning to enhance instruction.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback and support.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty and administration to support the mission and vision of SBA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid Tennessee teaching license or ability to obtain licensure.
- Demonstrated success in teaching or professional experience in a business-related field.
- Practicing Catholic preferred; willingness to support and model the Catholic mission required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional growth.
