Position Summary
The Associate Director of Campus Ministry plays a key leadership role in fostering the spiritual, social, and service-oriented life of the CBU campus. Reporting to the Director of Campus Ministry & Mission, this position promotes the Lasallian values of Faith, Service, and Community through dynamic pastoral care, inclusive programming, and intentional formation of students.

Key Responsibilities
- Student Accompaniment, Formation & Community Life (12 hrs/week)
- Provide pastoral care and spiritual companionship to students
- Lead trainings to develop student leaders in discipleship and practical skills
- Organize community-building events that engage a diverse student population (e.g., board games, hikes, intramurals)
- Support student events and foster relationships that model authentic Christian living
- Service & Social Justice Engagement (10 hrs/week)
- Design and manage a robust service program with local partners
- Integrate Catholic Social Teaching into service experiences
- Promote service opportunities through various platforms
- Oversee key initiatives such as PB&J Day, Buc Stop Pantry, and service drives
- Track and report on community service engagement and outcomes
- Liturgy, Worship & Prayer (8 hrs/week)
- Coordinate Masses, liturgies, and prayer services in collaboration with the chaplain
- Engage student leaders of various Christian traditions to foster ecumenical worship
- Train and mentor student Liturgical Ministers
- Maintain prayer spaces, including Stritch Chapel
- Program Development & Campus Engagement (10 hrs/week)
- Co-lead a wide variety of spiritual, educational, and social events (e.g., retreats, speaker series, OCIA, seasonal worship)
- Support student-led ministries such as Bible studies and praise & worship groups
- Partner with campus departments and RSOs to integrate ministry into broader campus life
- Contribute to administrative tasks and ensure welcoming, organized ministry spaces
- Represent Campus Ministry in university-wide initiatives and events
Qualifications
Required:
- Practicing Catholic with solid theological grounding
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in campus ministry or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to the Lasallian mission and values
- Ability to drive for university business (personal or CBU vehicle)
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Musical ability (singing or playing an instrument) for liturgical support
Work Environment & Schedule
This campus-based position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and other routine movements associated with campus programming.
