OLSC Retreat Center is nestled in the foothills of Cupertino amidst stunning hilltop vistas and our retreat center provides an atmosphere of tranquility and peace.
The Retreat Center is seeking an energetic, flexible and proficient full time Director of Operations responsible for overseeing effective all day-to-day Retreat Center operations. He/she will supervise all administrative and marketing processes. Train and manage all employees in conjunction with Team Lead. Establish and execute plans to ensure the smooth operation of the Retreat Center and attainment of team goals. Responsible for creating, tracking, and managing all financial systems and managing the Operations budget. Duties include reviewing the Retreat Center documents to make inferences about factors like communication or productivity, and following all Retreat Center rules set forth by the organization Employment Agreement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement standardized processes for the following operational activities:
Administrative
• Respond to prospective retreatant inquiries
• Manage the retreat registrations process
• Provide accounting support
• Manage expense reporting process
• Manage payroll reporting process
• Assist with retreat scheduling
Food and Beverage
• Perform menu planning with kitchen staff for all events
• Manage kitchen staff, ensuring shopping, meal prep and cooking is covered for upcoming events
• Oversee day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
• Ensure that all the food and drinks are of the highest quality and customers are satisfied with the food and service.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Housekeeping
• Maintain retreat center at the highest standards of cleanliness inside and out
• Schedule and supervise cleaning staff as needed for events
• Oversee stocktaking and ordering of cleaning equipment, linen, and room supplies
• Ensure sanitization of retreat center between uses/events
Facilities
• Ensure the beauty and functionality of the grounds and buildings
• Oversee maintenance staff
• Check for faults or damage and arrange for repairs and routine maintenance work
Human Resources
• Oversee the development of staff and volunteers proportionate to organizational needs
• Oversee recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads, and managing the hiring process
• Create and implement effective onboarding, training, and development programs

Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, or relevant field
Experience: A minimum of one to 5 years of experience in business administration or similar, including supervisory responsibilities.
