The Basilica School of Saint Mary, a Catholic Pre-K through eighth-grade parish school in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking an outstanding special education teacher for the Mater Dei program for the 2025-2026 academic school year. The special education teacher will work collaboratively with the Mater Dei team, which includes the coordinator and two instructional assistants. Our Mater Dei program serves five to seven students in an inclusive environment. Qualified candidates will be committed to academic excellence and to each student's intellectual, spiritual, and character formation. They will fully embrace the mission of our Catholic school, which recognizes the infinite value of each student, and seeks to develop the gifts of all, always with an eye to their eternal destiny. Ideal candidates will hold a Master's degree in special education, hold or be willing to work towards certification, and have strong elementary instructional experiences.
