Belmont Abbey College, invites applications for the position of Videographer/Multimedia Designer.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate for this position will report to the Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications and collaborate with staff to achieve the overall mission and strategic goals of the College. The Multimedia Designer provides administrative support to the Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications and the Marketing Department. The Multimedia Designer manages marketing projects from conception to end delivery with direction from the AVP for College Marketing and Communications in the areas of video production and editing, photography, digital and print design.
The Multimedia Designer provides overall creative support for both the Marketing Department and the AVP for Marketing and Communications for support of the overall Brand, Admissions, Fundraising, and other various departments. The Multimedia Designer oversees marketing projects, prepares and maintains inventory of online media, photography, videos, collateral material, and oversees on-campus branding including signage. Knowledge of printing and print design is also important. The Multimedia Designer will work closely with the Marketing Project Manager and the Web Developer. The Multimedia Designer must demonstrate initiative, creativity, as well as have strong organizational skills.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors’ Degree plus a minimum of 3 years of multimedia design & production experience, preferably in a marketing related role. The position requires strong PC and MAC skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Adobe products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills in video shooting, editing, video graphics, photography, graphic design, web design, and knowledge of printing processes. In addition, strong knowledge of social media platforms, website basics, and the required creative for each is critical. Understanding of a young audience (16-24) as well as older adults is beneficial. The work environment is a general office setting and requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. The work schedule may require some occasional evening and weekend shifts.
