Seeking Resumes for Director of Development – Catholic Charities of Lexington
Catholic Charities of Lexington, KY, is seeking a qualified and motivated Director of Development to join our team. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Development will provide strategic oversight and management of all fundraising activities, including grant writing, donor cultivation and retention, event planning, public relations, and social media management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an annual grants calendar to secure funding from private foundations, corporations, and government sources.
- Manage donor acquisition and retention, including gift processing, relationship building, and donor recognition.
- Maintain accurate donor records in the Network for Good Database and ensure proper donor communication.
- Coordinate public relations efforts, including media outreach, social media, and website updates.
- Organize and execute special events, including the annual Mardi Gras fundraiser and silent auction.
- Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and staff to enhance donor engagement and increase funding.
- Coordinate fundraising activities with Catholic Charities USA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of development experience required.
- Minimum of three years of fundraising experience.
- Experience in event planning preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage donors and stakeholders effectively.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal fundraising laws and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks.
Compensation:
$50,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience and track record in development.
