Summary
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School seeks responsible, energetic individual to take on the role of Network Administrator. This position will work collaboratively with all within the Information Technology department to support, plan, design, configure, install, and maintain complex networking systems within both St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School and Parish. Manage technology hardware, software, training, systems, security, people, policies and infrastructure.

Work Year: school days Aug. - June with some additional training days
Specific Days Needed: M, T, W, Th, F (any one or more)
Min./Max. Hours per week: 40
Job Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (additional hours maybe added for meetings, etc)
Education/Experience
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Be mature, responsible, energetic and nurturing with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology related field or 5+ years in IT networking or related field.
- Receive a criminal background check clearance.
- Be trained and verified in Safe Haven, child abuse awareness. Please go to the Safe Environment tab on the Archdiocese’s website, www.archgh.org for more information about and to register for this free 3 hour workshop required by all Archdiocesan employee/volunteers who work with children.
- Be committed to the philosophy of Catholic school and value oriented education.
NETWORK MANAGEMENT
- Manage hardware, software, systems, and develop and plan for refresh.
- Manage technology based tasks and transition those tasks to the appropriate stake holder.
- Identify and resolve network hardware and software problems.
- Install and test network hardware, software, and upgrades.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on hardware.
- Implement and maintain all Network system configurations.
- Coordinate and monitor system utilization; recommend improvements as needed.
- Assist in maintaining district image for desktops and mobile devices
- Inventory All Technology on Campus
- Update 5 year technology plan
- Develop, implement, and maintain records for technology plans
NETWORK SECURITY
- Utilize security best practices for installation and maintenance of Network Hardware.
- Maintain wireless security as per district policies.
- Manage security software and protocol along with develop and plan for refresh.
- Maintain all backups of network hardware configurations.
- Assist with developing and implementation of a disaster recovery plan.
- Active Directory Changes (reset passwords and create accounts) for students and teachers on FACTS/Renweb, Google, etc.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
- Serve as liaison to software and hardware vendors to maintain appropriate product support.
- Maintain network design and configuration documentation.
- Provide assistance to end users to identify and correct equipment and software related problems.
- Work with stake holders in departments to acquire, maintain, improve or decommission technology.
- Maintain connection to technology users, follow and provide support for ongoing projects and help identify new support issues.
- Identify and recommend the acquisition of software and hardware to meet the automation and networking needs of district staff.
- Develop and Present a Plan for Uniformed Devices (e.g., Printer and Computers)
TECHNICAL BUDGET SUPPORT
- Determine the composition and direction of technology offerings.
- Develop a technology budget in collaboration with school accounting manager.
- Oversee lease/purchase options for equipment, when needed.
- Allocate Service Payment to Parish and School.
Other Duties
- Determine training needs for technology initiatives and setup policies and assets for that training.
- Provide professional development for both staff and faculty.
- Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, TCCBED, and local board policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain Partnership with additional technology support team both in-house and contract labor.
- Maintain an Organized Office and Computer Lab Closet.
