Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School in Southwest Miami-Dade, Florida has an opening for a full-time Mathematics Teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. The school seeks to hire and retain employees who are skilled in their field, desiring to work in a Christ-Centered environment and support the school's mission. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for grades 9-12 Mathematics. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with degrees and experience.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide clear and consistently high-quality Math instruction for all students.
• Create instructional lesson plans and activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in a meaningful learning experience
• Implement instructional strategies and resources that are aligned with rigor of a college preparatory high school and meet the needs of all students, including those with varying learning styles
• Working collaboratively with other faculty to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Math; Master's degree in Math preferred.
• State of Florida Department of Education Professional certification in Math, grades 6-12.
• At least two years' experience in teaching at a high school level.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Demonstrated technology skills and knowledge for digital books and interactive classroom technology.
• Proficiency in Rediker software, Administrator's Plus, Canvas (LMS), and iPad is preferred.
• Able to work well in a team environment with other professionals, peers and parents.
• Able to communicate effectively both orally and written using correct English grammar.
• Fully committed, respectful, and supportive of the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School.
• Must have a professional and pleasant, service-oriented demeanor.
