St. Joseph School is seeking a full-time Elementary/Middle School Technology & STEM Teacher (PreK-8th Grade) for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.
IMMEDIATE Start: Week of March 17, 2025.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
-A strong educational background, a passion for teaching, and the ability to foster a positive learning environment that promotes character development and social emotional learning
-Committed to the mission of Catholic education, and work cooperatively with our Elementary School Team.
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education or related field
-Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
-Mastery of Google Applications: Drive, Docs, Sheet, Slides, Forms, Classroom
-Experience managing iPads using JAMF; managed google chromebooks and acer tablets
-Computer networking skills
-Computer maintenance skills
-STEM: Background/Knowledge in Robotics, Engineering, and other STEM-related fields (ex: 3D Printing; Coding, etc.)
-Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote critical thinking in STEM subjects.
-Creates and/or makes copies of instructional materials for classroom use and/or use Google Classroom Platform.
Responsibilities:
-Provide engaging and student-centered learning experiences in technology and STEM.
-Implements curriculum for the entire school year, leads students through each daily lesson plan, and teaches the intended subject matter.
-Demonstrates an understanding of the curriculum, subject content, and the developmental needs of students.
-Uses resources, routines, and procedures to provide a respectful, positive, safe, student-centered environment that is conducive to learning.
-Assesses student performance with consistent grading scales through measurable testing and compiles records/graded material for submission at the end of each trimester.
-Establishes and maintains an open line of communication with parents and teachers to ensure student success.
-Creates a positive classroom environment that promotes character development and social emotional learning, while maintaining an organized and orderly classroom.
Salary is determined by years of full time classroom teaching experience and highest degree as per the DRVC Teacher Pay Scale.
