Saint Mary's High School in Manhasset is seeking a Full-Time Physics/STEM teacher to join its Science Department for the 2025 - 2026 school year. The preferred candidate will have academic experience in Physics/STEM instruction or a related field. Each St. Mary's teacher is dedicated to developing the whole person in academics, the arts, athletics and a growing commitment to God and others.
The Physics/STEM Teacher position is a full-time position with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following tasks:
-Teach up to 5 sections of Physics/STEM and or related courses during the school year.
-Ability to teach AP Physics 1 or higher.
-Work collaboratively and be open to feedback on improving teaching.
-in departmental and school-wide professional development initiatives.
-Participate in the extracurricular life of the school.
-Attend and contribute to grade level, faculty, and department meetings.
-Teach and lead students in accordance with the teachings of the Roman Catholic church and the mission of St. Mary's High School
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Physics or related field
-Master's degree in science or science education is preferred but not required
-NYS teacher certification or currently working towards certification preferred
-Personal commitment to Catholic mission in education
