Area/Program Focus:Finance
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in grants management to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations related to grants. This role will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of grants, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, maintaining compliance with funding requirements, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Prepared and/or review monthly and quarterly invoices to grantors
- Prepare and analyze fund and financial reports for reasonableness and accuracy, make corrections as needed
- Assist Managers with grant reporting, preparing budgets and other grantor specific reports for grant proposals and final accounting for grantors to assist development efforts, working directly with government grantors as needed to obtain clarification of grant terms, timing of granting process, method and timing of billings, allowable expenses, and additional reporting as required
- Prepare monthly and annual grant financial statements
- Communicate to the grant manager/director for executed contracts and new budgets
- Prepare monthly billings and maintain AR
- Responsible for all grant and program billings and revenue
- Backups up Senior Accountant to independently process payroll
- Work with Development to record and reconcile deposits and revenue
- Monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations
- Monthly closing journal entries and general ledger account analysis
- Prepare monthly cost allocations
- Assist with annual audit and preparation of financial statements under GAAP for Not-for-Profit organizations
- Assist with 990 Tax Return
- Obtain insurance certificates for programs and grants
- Assist with annual and contract budget preparation
- Assist with continuous improvement of processes
- Assist HR with Payroll as needed
- Any other projects / tasks assigned
