Instructional Technologist 2025-2026
Supervisor: Academic Dean
Duration: 12 Month contract- 10-month work/school year + 10 days in July
FLSA: exempt/contract employee
Schedule: Monday through Friday (plus scheduled events)
Hours: 7:50 am to 3:20 pm

Job Purpose: The Instructional Technologist is responsible for integrating technology into the classroom by providing teachers and students training and support on using digital tools to enhance instruction, develop engaging learning materials, and ensure students are effectively using technology to meet curriculum objectives.
Faith, Community, and Dominican Charism
- Ensure that the four pillars of a Dominican education (prayer, study, community, preaching) are developed and promoted among the school community.
- Develop an active faith community and model Christian values.
- Support prayer and spiritual formation within the student, faculty/staff, and parent communities.
- Uphold and implement the Dominican charism and the Houston Dominican Sisters’ congregational goals.

Main Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary facilitator between the needs of the Technology Office and the Academic Department
- Work with the Academic Dean and the Director of Technology on shared project implementation and development
- Collaborates with school administrators to assess, create, and implement technology integration based on school needs
- Help to create and maintain expectations of responsible technological and Artificial Intelligence use for students and faculty
- Conducts workshops, seminars, and training sessions with school faculty to increase knowledge of technology including onboarding new faculty
- Coach faculty on the integration of education technology into unit and lesson plans
- Provide technical input for school projects that include classroom equipment and software for content delivery
- Conduct research and attend conferences in order to stay current on new instructional technologies
- Conducts an annual audit of current instructional technology to find opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts, teachers, learning specialists, and other stakeholders to support learning goals and objectives, and to ensure there is broad input and endorsement of changes.
- Work with 9th graders in Freshman Seminar on basic technology needs for classroom learning
- Work with college counseling department on management of and communications regarding Naviance and assist parents with access and usage issues
- Provide technical assistance to the Testing Coordinator and serve as College Board technical liaison for digital PSAT and AP testing.
- Work with the school nurse on management and community education around the Magnus app and platform
- Plan, coordinate, and run “Out of Box” laptop training for all incoming students prior to the first day of school.
- Serve as system manager for and trainer of technology platforms including, but not limited to TurnItIn, Formative, Albert IO, Membean, and EdPuzzle.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to embrace the mission of St. Agnes Academy
- Minimum of a four-year B.A./B.S. degree
- 3 year teaching/media specialist/instructional technology experience
- Prior experience in a high school setting, preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Takes initiative, is detail oriented, and is highly organized
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365, particularly OneNote
- Willingness to learn other technologies as needed
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Completion of Safe Haven training
