SRCES Mother of Mercy Academy is seeking a Full-time Maintenance/Janitorial Position.

Job Summary:
The Maintenance/Janitorial staff position is responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and repair of MMA’s facilities and grounds. This position requires a variety of facility and equipment maintenance duties. Also performs custodial duties including, but not limited to, cleaning services (e.g. trash removal, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, etc.) in the school building/cafeteria according to a weekly schedule and other duties as assigned.
Duties:

General cleaning of all school buildings, keeping them maintained and in good condition
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors Cleaning and stocking all restrooms
Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
Clean and sanitize cafeteria tables and bathrooms.
Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas and in winter by removing snow from walkways, stairs, and parking areas and applying ice melt as needed
Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
Notify the principal of major repairs
Moves and transports furniture, books, and miscellaneous items from buildings
Delivery of materials and donations
Perform rough painting and plastering
Secures and stores all cleaning supplies and equipment upon completion of cleaning
Assists in setting up tables, chairs, and other equipment as needed for school assembly and after-school activities
May be required to work select evenings and weekends
Window and light fixture cleaning and repairs

Qualifications:

21 years of age
Completed safe environment training and background check
High school diploma or GED
Valid PA Driver's License
Previous experience preferred, but not required

Job Requirements:

Ability to move, load, and unload equipment and supplies weighing 35 pounds or more
Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
Able to bend, stoop, squat and reach
