The Donor Relations Coordinator is a key support role within the Department of Revenue and Advancement, responsible for ensuring excellent donor and listener experiences. This position serves as a frontline representative of Relevant Radio, engaging with donors and listeners to foster deeper connections to the mission and encouraging financial support. By delivering outstanding customer service, the Donor Relations Coordinator helps listeners and donors understand how they can actively participate in the mission of Relevant Radio.
Key Responsibilities:
Donor/Listener Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound and outbound calls, including donor inquiries and follow-up communication. Provide timely and professional responses to donor questions, ensuring every interaction reflects the mission of Relevant Radio. Educate donors and listeners about opportunities to support the mission financially.
Advancement Support:
Work closely with the Department of Revenue and Advancement to ensure alignment between donor engagement strategies and revenue goals. Actively contribute to fundraising objectives by identifying and supporting opportunities for donor upgrades and increased giving.
Visitor Interaction & Tours:
Greet visitors warmly, offering a professional and welcoming experience. Coordinate and schedule donor tours to showcase the impact of their support and inspire greater engagement with the mission.
Administrative & Event Support:
Provide support for donor engagement initiatives, including pledge drives, donor appreciation activities, and special projects. Assist with event coordination to enhance donor relationships and revenue generation.
Communication & Engagement:
Collaborate with the Engagement Team to craft effective outreach communications. Manage all incoming email communication, execute timely and accurate responses, and provide regular reporting on donor inquiries and trends.
Database & Mail Management:
Ensure accurate input and management of donor information in the Raiser's Edge database. Process all donor mail and other communications efficiently with proper documentation, follow-up, and reporting to support fundraising activities.
Affiliate Relations and Sponsorships:
Manage the relationships and administrative support for the network affiliate stations and local sponsorships.
Reception & Backup Duties:
Serve as the backup for front desk reception when needed, ensuring a smooth and professional environment for visitors and callers.
Adherence to Policies:
Follow Relevant Radio's policies and procedures at all times, participating in training sessions and departmental meetings to stay updated on organizational goals and priorities.
Qualifications:
• Active Catholic with a life of faith aligned with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional office experience, with nonprofit experience highly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-centric mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management (Raiser's Edge preferred).
• Proficiency in reading and writing English is required for donor/listener support, visitor tours, outreach communications and front desk support.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for event support.
