Mater Dei Catholic School is accepting applications for an immediate opening for a full-time teaching position for 7th and 8th Grade Language Arts and Science classes for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, with the option of a permanent position later. This teacher will have an 8th Grade homeroom and work with a departmental team of dedicated Middle School Teachers. The candidate should be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and grade partners. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in differentiated instruction and integrating technology (iPads, Smart Boards, and Chromebooks) in the classroom.
To reflect the deep commitment to our greatest resource, our teachers, Mater Dei Catholic School has adjusted our salary scale upward above the Archdiocese of Philadelphia scale and has provided scholarship opportunities for graduate studies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans and activities to meet the needs of all students.
- Integrate technology into the classroom instruction.
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Develop and implement strategies to support student performance.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration
- Maintain accurate records of student progress.
