Position: ADJUNCT FACULTY MEMBER SOCIOLOGY PROGRAM
The Sociology Program at Madonna University, Livonia, Michigan (located between Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan) invites applications for adjunct positions as Adjunct Instructor or Adjunct Assistant Professor (rank commensurate with experience) to teach courses in the undergraduate courses in the Sociology Program. The Sociology Program is one of the only Applied Sociology Programs in the State of Michigan. The Mission of the Sociology Program is to provide students with a greater understanding of our globalized society so as to contribute solutions to social problems. The Madonna Sociology Program provides the knowledge and skills needed in the 21st century workplace or the foundations needed for graduate school.
Qualifications:
- At least a Master’s in Sociology (degrees outside of the discipline will not be reviewed).
- At least 12 semester hours of teaching experience at the college-level within the last 4 years; experience teaching diversity courses is preferred.
- Must be available to teach in-person day-time courses
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
Adjunct positions are filled on a semester-by-semester, as-needed basis. Review of applications will begin immediately.
