Job Title: Client Advocacy Director
Reports To: Executive Director
Job Purpose: Provide emotional and spiritual support to women in crisis throughout their appointment and during their pregnancy and post-partum season.
Overview: Aim Women's Center is committed to serving women who are at high risk for abortion by providing information and options so they can confidently become the mother God has created them to be. The Client Advocacy Director helps ensure that we serve all clients with love, dignity, and mercy.
The Client Advocacy Director is responsible for overseeing client supportive services. Not only will this position include counseling clients throughout their pregnancy appointment, but this individual will also be able to help other advocates and staff effectively do the same. The Client Advocacy Director will maintain close contact with especially vulnerable clients throughout their pregnancy, ensuring the client has the spiritual and emotional support needed.
The Client Advocacy Director supervises other advocates and works closely with our nurses, Clinical Nurse Manager, Executive Director, and Client Services personnel to ensure a coordinated, welcoming, and encouraging experience for our clients.
Hours: ~25 hours per week
Program Responsibilities:
1. Learn all aspects of the client appointment and counseling process and implement
2. Work closely with the sonographer and nurse during the appointment to provide holistic support to the client
3. Meet with clients after their initial appointment for connection to other service providers and to develop relationship, determine needs and make referrals
4. Work with Client Resources and Program Manager to create new internal programs for client connection
5. Perform Advocate duties, including prayer and spiritual encouragement, during client appointment
6. Manage the patient flow in a timely manner
7. Actively builds relationships and new joint ventures with other community agencies
8. Notify director of unusual patient/staff circumstances
9. Train new Advocates
10. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
11. Research and update community resources
12. Oversight and training of social work or psychology interns
Personnel Responsibilities: Assist in screening future Receptionists, Advocates, and Lay Counselors
Fiscal Responsibilities: None
Community Responsibilities: Attend community events as requested by Executive Director
Other Responsibilities:
1. Administrative support as needed and ongoing training for your role
2. Restock supplies throughout the building and general help as needed
3. Assist with Client Resources and Programming duties (as required)
4. Attend staff and volunteer meetings (as required)
5. Assist with fundraisers (as required)
6. Attend all-staff events (as required)
Qualifications:
1. Full agreement with Aim Women's Center's statement of faith
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in client services, social work, counseling, or a similar role in a nonprofit or ministry setting.
3. Degree or experience in Social Work, Psychology, or other related field (preferred)
4. Available on all medical days
5. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.

Working Conditions
