Regina Angelorum Academy is seeking a Physical Education Instructor/Athletic Director to join our staff for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in physical education as well as sports coaching and have at minimum a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
All applicants must be practicing Catholics and willing to sign an oath of fidelity to all of the magisterial teachings of the Church. Salary is commensurate with teaching experience and relevant degrees. Instructional Responsibilities
The Physical Education Teacher is expected to:
Prepare weekly Physical Education lesson plans following a prescribed curriculum and adherence to the curricular scope and sequence, integrating RAA's mission and vision. and the school's philosophy of classical education throughout the curriculum.
Serve as faculty advisor for up to two after-school clubs.
Plan all-school event(s) that promote school spirit, sportsmanship, and physical activity (e.g. Field Day, Spirit Week, etc.) and assist with recess or be prepared to lead recess.
Model physical skills and participate with students during games and physical activities.
Set up activities and move equipment to facilitate sports and games..
Instruct students on the importance of wellness and a healthy lifestyle (nutrition, adequate sleep, exercise etc.)
Assign and incorporate a variety of instructional and assessment strategies to enhance learning.
Employ a variety of instructional methods, aids and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
Non-Instructional Responsibilities
All Academy Regina Angelorum Academy teachers are expected to:

Establish and maintain regular contact and communication with parents.
Maintain daily oversight of student behavior using school approved behavioral management strategies and tools.
Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
Maintain oversight of student health and safety, including before and after school yard duty.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-ordered classroom.
Identify and/or participate in opportunities for professional growth.
Attend teacher in-service days and faculty meetings.
