Brief Job Description: We are seeking passionate candidates, qualified to work as an Elementary Teacher, providing support, instruction, and intervention for emergent and struggling readers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Teaching all core subject areas assigned at the elementary level
• Preparing students for NYS assessments, if applicable
• Homeroom teacher responsibilities
• Other school and classroom responsibilities, as assigned
Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
• Teaching experience, particularly at the Elementary level
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education required, Master’s Degree preferred
• New York State Teaching Certification
• VIRTUS certified and background checked

• Knowledge of Google Classroom and other technology or willingness to learn
• Strong classroom management skills
• Organized, friendly
• Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and students
Salary Information: Starting at $15.50 per hour
