Title: Help Desk Support Technician – Full Time

Reports To: Director of Technology
Classification: Exempt/Full-time
Position Summary: The technology department technician who focuses on the help desk is responsible for overseeing all tech support requests and ensuring outstanding needs are met. Technicians report to the Director of Technology
Key Responsibilities
- Answer technical questions for the community (staff, students, teachers)
- Respond to problems as they occur during active classroom activity in BYOD environment
- Create and maintain documentation, run books and checklists
- Manage break/fix with various vendors
- Order parts when necessary (in conjunction with supervisor)
- Respond to requests for equipment set up for special events
- Hardware deployment/repair and maintenance
- Software installation; Software updates
- Track inventory and supplies
- Oversee proper asset disposal
- Respond to and close tickets in a timely manner
- Work with print servers, deployment software, Google, Chrome, and active directory (Tier I)
- Backup other team members with basic AV and networking tasks

Key Skills/Attributes
- Technical understanding of PC, Mac and Chrome OS, IOS and android phones, basic networking, and common current application packages
- Ability to communicate, prioritize, demonstrate follow-through, and see tasks through their completion.
- Proficiency in working with a variety of people, personality types and multiple demands, as well as writing and organization.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the computer field
- Experience with computer applications, troubleshooting, networking and support of constituents

Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs.
A background and fingerprint report will be conducted and submitted to State authorities as required by law for all personnel working within a school environment.
Must be willing to undergo Catholic Diocese VIRTUS certification.
