Aurora Central Catholic High School seeks a Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach to join a growing Athletic department committed to seeing student-athletes succeed in all their endeavors. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach will be responsible for the following:
- Supervises and operates all phases of a competitive girls’ volleyball program.
- Plans, organizes and administers all in-season practice sessions.
- Assigns responsibilities to and supervises all work of assistant coaches.
- Scheduling of all competitions in coordination with the director of athletics
- Oversees the issuing and collecting of all equipment, uniforms, supplies, and materials.
- Plans, organizes, and administers all in-season practice sessions.
- Assigns responsibilities to and supervises all work of assistant coaches.
- Counsels’ student-athletes and sets both short and long-range goals.
- Develops and carries out fundraising projects as approved.
- Maintains positive public relations with the community through an assortment of events including camps and clinics.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of IHSA rules and regulations.
- Supports the mission, vision, and values of Aurora Central Catholic High School and the Rockford Archdiocese.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree
- Head coach experience, ideally in a high school, college, or university setting.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Team-oriented individual with the ability to take initiative.
- Ability to represent the school and program in a professional and enthusiastic manner to on and off campus constituencies.
- Knowledge of social media and methods of program promotion.
