Administrative Assistant for the Office of the Permanent Diaconate located at 816 Marengo Ave., Forest Park, IL.
The Administrative Assistant Will
- Assist associate director of ongoing formation with planning coordinating and record-keeping of all diaconate ongoing formation programs.
- Assist with the planning, communication, coordination of all diaconate fundraising events and community activities.
- Assist the associate director of the permanent diaconate ensuring deacons are in good standing maintaining and reviewing all Virtus records, ensuring that all mandatory training is completed ministry, covenants are current and respond to requests for letters of good standing.
- Assist the vicar for deacons with the planning scheduling coordination of Deacon community retreats.
- Provide general administrative support to the office of the permanent diaconate serving as back up to the office administrator as needed.
Position Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Some college preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years of related office experience in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access and Excel; filing and other general office skills.
- Advanced applications of the Microsoft Office suite, bookkeeping, and dictation/transcription preferred.
