Description:

The Diocese of Des Moines and Catholic Charities is seeking a dedicated and reliable temporary part-time Receptionist to provide coverage while our regular receptionists are out of the office. This is a shared position and the role is ideal for someone who is flexible and looking for occasional work to support our welcoming and front desk operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist visitors, clients, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling as needed.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday, 8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Fridays, 8:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. through August 30.

Requirements:

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) desired.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
