Summary

St. George Catholic Church in Odessa, MO and St. Jude Catholic Church in Oak Grove, MO is seeking a part time bookkeeper who will be responsible for the financial records for the two parishes. This position is part time 15-20 hours a week and will split time between St. George and St. Jude parishes.

Essential Functions

Create and track the budget throughout the year.
Prepare budget reports for the finance council and the parish.
Prepare the annual Diocesan Spirituality report.
Process all bills for the parish.
Process all parish donations.
Prepares and distributes all end of the year giving reports.
Track and schedule all parish maintenance.
Research new parish services as needed (ex: phone, internet, etc.).
Oversee parish hall rentals and coordinates the use of other physical spaces needed for the mission of our parish.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience with accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and financial transactions.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping.
Intermediate skill level using Quick Books.
Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office products.
Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
